HELLO EVERYONE :-)
Welcome to my really fun website. It contains poems, illustrations and lots of interesting activities for kids. I invite children and parents to mosey around the site, read, laugh, discuss and spend some time together here! My mission is to help kids to be the best that they can be!
ABOUT THE POEMS
Each of the poems was inspired by a quote from a well-known, not-so-well-known or an unknown person. The poetry is not only entertaining, each one contains an inspirational message for the reader.
ABOUT THE PAINTINGS
The illustrations are original oil paintings, painted by me, of course! The common thread of the illustrations is the abstract use of blocks of color as background with recognizable images included. I categorize them as “Representational Abstracts.” The paintings are whimsical, vibrantly colorful and fun the look-at. The illustrations intentionally do not tell the entire story of the poem. I want the viewer/reader to fill in some of the “blanks.”
ABOUT ACTIVITIES PAGES
Each poem contains a page of related activities for your child to ENJOY! The questions are not meant to be a test. There are no right or wrong answers to most of the questions. They are for the purpose of aiding kids to THINK!, to draw them further into the poetry and the pictures.
